The Dukla Pass is one of the lowest and most significant mountain passes through the Carpathians. Historically, it served as both a trade and military route; in the autumn of 1944, it was the scene of fierce fighting.

Today, it is a peaceful border crossing into Poland. Beyond the pass, the road continues to Polish villages and further war memorials.
